The President's Special Recognition Award 2025
James Luckhurst - Project EDWARD
Project EDWARD (Every Day Without A Road Death) is the biggest platform for showcasing good practice in road safety in the UK. Founded in 2016 as an annual event led by Police, Project EDWARD has grown into a year-round programme backed by government, the emergency services, highways agencies, road safety organisations and British businesses.

About the Awards
The IMTD Awards celebrate achievements in driver training and road safety. Certificates of Highly Commended status may also be awarded where appropriate.
Nomination Process
Nominations can be made by anyone, including self-nominations (with supporting evidence from a third party).
Award Categories.
*You do not need to be a member to submit a nomination. You can nominate non members
Nominations will be considered for:

New initiatives or projects supporting driver training/road safety

Long-term, evaluated programmes of excellence

Businesses demonstrating sustainable good practice

Individuals excelling in driver training/road safety

Outstanding contributions to driver training/road safety over time
Presentation of Awards
The awards will be presented at the IMTD Annual Lunch on Sunday, 13th September 2026.
