Charles Morton

Charles, before his retirement in 2012, spent the last ten years of his career with The Driving Standards Agency, the last six years being Registrar of Approved Driving Instructors. Before this, I was Area Manager of Midlands &Eastern, responsible for the delivery of the Driving Test, maintenance of Test Centres, management of the Driving Examiners and a large Administration Team. Previously, he spent thirty years in the Retail Sector in a variety of operational field roles, ultimately as a Divisional Executive with responsibility for over sixty Supermarkets. In both the Public and Private Sectors, Charles held positions on numerous Boards responsible and accountable for the delivery of key objectives and the business's financial well-being. Within the Institute, Charles has responsibility for the Institute’s Annual Industry Awards.
